THE PURPLE SCHOOL
WRISTBANDS!
The Purple School inspires
children to become/stay bilingual.
One way we do this is by giving children the opportunity to earn
wristbands. For example, after a
child feels confident that he or she has learned the first 25 of The Purple
School animals, she/he can request to be tested (during break or right
before or after class). If a child
can identify all the animals in the target language (with no help or
prompting from the teacher), she/he earns a red wristband like this: 
Each of these cool
wristbands features the word "Animals" written in the target
language! After a child has passed the
red level, he/she can continue to earn orange, yellow, green, blue and
purple for each additional 25 animals!
